DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION

In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933.

IN pursuance and exercise of section 16 of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Loans Conversion Order, 1933, and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board, at a meeting held on the 3rd day of October, 1949, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of the following debentures maturing on the 1st day of April, 1953, viz.—Debenture numbers 1181 to 2395, each of £100, and debenture numbers 2396 to 2546, each of £500, making a total face value of £197,000, maturing on the 1st day of April, 1953. And public notice is accordingly hereby given of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board’s intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on the first (1st) day of April, 1950, and interest thereon will cease on the said day.

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company, which is being voluntarily wound up, are required, on or before the 20th day of January, 1950, being the day for that purpose fixed by ROBERT MURRAY CROCKETT, of Auckland, Public Accountant, the undersigned liquidator of the said company, to send their names and addresses, and particulars of their debts and claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to the undersigned, and if so required by notice in writing from the said liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts and claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the registered office of the company, The Strand, Whakatane, on Wednesday, the 7th day of December, 1949, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

HAWKE’S BAY EDUCATION BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay proposes to execute a certain public work, namely—to establish a public school—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of Messrs. Quigley, Allen, and Hayward, Public Accountants, Gordon Street, Dannevirke, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the Board at his office in Jull Street, Napier.

SCHEDULE

Six acres and twenty-one decimal eight perches (6 acres 0 roods 21·8 perches), being part of Section 1, Tahoraiti No. 1f Block, situate in Block V, Tahoraiti Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan prepared by S. H. Simmonds, Esquire, deposited for inspection as aforesaid, and thereon coloured blue.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP PORTION OF MCKINLEY CRESCENT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section 175 (h) of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, to stop all that portion of street commonly known as McKinley Crescent, in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement twenty perches and twenty one-hundredths of a perch (20·20 perches) adjoining or passing through part Section 12, Ohiro District, as the said piece of land is more particularly shown on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, Numbered S.O. 21746, and thereon coloured green ; and notice is hereby further given that a copy of the said plan is deposited at the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City is there open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons objecting to the proposal are required to lodge their objections in writing at the office of the said Town Clerk on or before the 23rd day of December, 1949.
