Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the City of Invercargill, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Invercargill was taken on the 16th day of November, 1949, on six separate proposals of the Invercargill City Council to borrow the sums shown hereunder for the respective purposes indicated. The votes recorded for and against each proposal, are shown.
(1) Transport Loan of £140,000, for the purpose of instituting a new transport system in Invercargill including tram track removals and alterations to buildings and taking over the existing services from private owners.
