Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Tauranga County Council!

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Tauranga County Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:
- The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
- The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.
- The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.--PUKETOKI SCENIC RESERVE ALL that area containing 85 acres 1 rood 12 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on deposited plan 23620, and being portion of the block situated in Block XII, Aongatete Survey District, called Whakamarama No. 2, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 629, folio 106 (Auckland Registry).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of November, 1949.

Vesting the Control of Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Dannevirke Borough Council

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of that portion of the Makirikiri Scenic Reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Dannevirke Borough Council subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:
- The period for which the control is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.
- The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said portion of the said reserve. Regular Force--
Captain John Neil Rutland, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Temp. Lieutenant (on prob.), and is posted for duty to Papakura Camp. Dated 31st October, 1949.
Territorial Force--
Temp. Captain R. H. Standish, 1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the 61st Light Anti-Aircraft Battery, 6th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 5th June, 1943. Dated 1st December, 1948.
Captain J. B. Horrocks, from the Retired List, to be Captain, with seniority from 7th January, 1946, and is posted to the 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 1st December, 1948.
Captain S. H. Abbott, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Captain, with seniority from 17th January, 1948, and is posted to the 1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 1st December, 1948.
With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 54, dated 15th September, 1949, relative to Captain J. S. Rutherford, M.C., for "and is posted to the 13th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A.," substitute "and is posted to the 61st Battery, 6th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A."
Temp. Captain G. D. Beresford, 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain and assumes the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 7th January, 1946. Dated 1st December, 1948.

Captain J. C. Pawson, 15th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 15th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 4th October, 1946. Dated 4th November, 1949.

Territorial Force--
Major B. J. L. Roberts, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Major, with seniority from 24th June, 1947, and is posted to the 1st Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C. (Waikato). Dated 1st December, 1948.
