for the Registration District of Westland pursuant to the provisions
of section 6 of the Deeds Registration Act, 1908, and Assistant
Commissioner of Stamp Duties, Assistant Registrar of Companies,
and Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies at Hokitika, on
and from the 7th day of November, 1949.

to be Registrar of Brands for the Tauranga Branding District for
the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, on and from the 1st day of

to be Registrar and Bailiff at the Magistrates’ Court at Taupo for
the purposes of the Magistrates’ Court Act, 1947, and Maintenance
Officer at the Magistrates’ Court at Taupo for the purposes of the

Agreement for Grant of Water-supply Easement in Favour of Ewan
Smyth, of Putorino, Sheep-farmer, Over Land in Block XII,
Mohaka Survey District, Taken for a Gravel-pit, Assented to

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 17th day of October,
1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
27th day of the same month at page 2492, all that piece of land
containing 3 acres 3 roods 28 perches, being part Lot 2, D.P. 6510,
being part Block 21, Mohaka Crown Grant District, Block XII,
Mohaka Survey District, and an easement for right-of-way over areas
comprising 3 acres 0 roods 6 perches, being parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P.
6510, being parts Block 21, Mohaka Crown Grant District; Block
XII, Mohaka Survey District, were taken for a gravel-pit:
And whereas Ewan Smyth of Putorino, Sheep-farmer, was
entitled to compensation in respect of his interest in the said land:
And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the
said Ewan Smyth and his successors in title a water-supply easement
over part of the said land taken for a gravel-pit as part satisfaction
of the compensation aforesaid and to provide a sum of money in
satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:
And whereas the said Ewan Smyth agreed to accept such
grant of easement and sum of money in full satisfaction of the said
compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice,
in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he
assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Auckland for Housing
Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in
the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the Chief post-office at Auckland and is there open
for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the
said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice,
to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described
in the Schedule hereto, subject as to part to the drainage rights
created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 252154, Auckland Land
Registry, for housing purposes : And notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
post-office at Avondale and is there open for inspection ; and that
all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have
any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from
the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at
Wellington.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 9 acres
3 roods 32·5 perches.
