Crown Land Set Apart for a Main Highway Depot in Block XLI,
Town of Alexandra, Borough of Alexandra

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a main highway depot; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 3 roods 38·28 perches.
Being part Section 1.
Situated in Block XLI, Town of Alexandra (Borough of Alexandra), (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9709.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129850, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of November, 1949.

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, containing by admeasurement 85 acres 0 roods 10·3 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2, Block XI, and Sections 1, 2, and 4, Block XIV, Tongariro Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 62/49, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of November, 1949.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Murchison County, containing by admeasurement 990 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less, and being Sections 10 and 11, Block II, Matakitaki Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 114/14, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson S.O. Plan 7840.)

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General, Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and gazetted on the eleventh day of that month, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1948.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 235 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, being part Section 5, Block VIII, Ohura Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/20227B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. 8352.)

Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of November, 1949

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor-General in Council and notified in the Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively, and that such appointment shall determine the division by which such sittings shall be held:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint and declare that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, and doth hereby determine that such sittings shall be held by the respective divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder:—
Monday, the thirteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifty: By the First Division of the said Court.
Monday, the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifty: By the Second Division of the said Court.
Monday, the eleventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fifty: By the First Division of the said Court.
