The Butter Rationing Coupon Notice, 1949
PURSUANT to the Rationing Emergency Regulations 1942, the Rationing Controller hereby gives the following direction :—
(1) This Notice may be cited as the Butter Rationing Coupon Notice, 1949.
(2) Butter coupons of the numbers specified in the first column hereunder, as contained in the 9th Series Ration Card, shall be available for the supply of a total of 2 lb. of butter (8 oz. per coupon) in the respective periods of eight weeks specified in the second column hereunder :—
First Column.
Nos. 1 to 4 .. .. 24th October to 18th December.
Nos. 5 to 8 .. .. 21st November to 15th January.
Nos. 9 to 12 .. .. 19th December to 12th February.
Nos. 13 to 16 .. .. 16th January to 12th March.
Nos. 17 to 20 .. .. 13th February to 9th April.
Nos. 21 to 24 .. .. 13th March to 7th May.
Nos. 25 to 28 .. .. 10th April to 4th June.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the County of Tauranga, taken on the 28th day of September, 1949, on the proposal of the Tauranga County Council to borrow the sum of £124,425 for road-improvement works in the County of Tauranga—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 540
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 307
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
