Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) T. R. Atchley, late 7th Medium Battery, R.N.Z.A. (disbanded), to be Captain, with seniority from 27th January, 1944, and is posted to the 4th Medium Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 1st December, 1948.
Captain T. Hyde, from the Retired List, to be Captain, with seniority from 28th September, 1947, and is posted to the 11th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 1st December, 1948.
Captain (temp. Major) L. J. Fahey, E.D., 3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Major, with seniority from 1st April, 1942. Dated 1st May, 1949.
Temp. Lieutenant G. M. Lloyd, 3rd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 19th September, 1942. Dated 1st May, 1949.

Territorial Force—
Captain A. J. Cameron, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 2nd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 22nd September, 1946, and is posted to the 2nd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C. Dated 27th September, 1949.
Temp. Lieutenant R. D. Hefford, 3rd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Armoured Corps, with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 1st April, 1943. Dated 1st May, 1949.
