WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges of a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000), authorized to be raised by the Waimea County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of three workers' dwellings at Brightwater, the said Waimea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of one penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property within the Waimea County, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimea County Council held on the 9th day of September, 1949.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waimataitai Beach Erosion Loan 1949

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on Waimataitai Beach Erosion Loan 1949, of £19,000, authorized to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing protective works along the Waimataitai Beach in terms of an agreement entered into between the Council and the Minister of Works pursuant to section 31 of the Finance Act (No. 3), 1944, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.225d. in the pound upon the whole amount of unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru, and such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until such loan is fully paid off."

WEST HARBOUR BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the West Harbour Borough Council hereby resolved as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £12,300 to be known as the "Waterworks Loan, 1949," authorized to be raised by the West Harbour Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, and a requisition issued by the Board of Health under section 22 of the Health Act, 1920, for increasing the supply of wholesome water available to the Ravensbourne-Rothesay area of the Borough, the said West Harbour Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4 1/2d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of West Harbour situated within the Ravensbourne Ward and the Rothesay Ward created by Proclamation made on the 16th day of January, 1879, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette for the year 1879, at page 92 thereof, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off."

UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements :—

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £1 12s. 6d. per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 5s. (Volumes for years 1941 and 1942 are out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £2 7s. 6d. per calendar year in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders on the subscription basis should be placed with the Government Printer, Wellington. Separate copies may be purchased at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.
