Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Auckland for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Auckland and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 23·4 perches.
Being part Allotment 5, District of Tamaki.
Situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District (City of Auckland), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34527.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129963, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Legion of Frontiersmen Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Christchurch. Dated 24th June, 1949.
Akaroa Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Akaroa. Dated 8th August, 1949.

The Apprentices Labour Legislation Modification Order 1943, Revoked
PURSUANT to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby revoke, as from the day of the date hereof, the Apprentices Labour Legislation Modification Order, 1943.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
Situated within Tauranga County—
All that area adjacent to Tauranga Borough consisting of that portion of the Tauranga-Pairere State Highway No. 42 commencing at the south-western boundary of the Tauranga Borough as now constituted proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction and terminating at a point 1 mile 16 chains measured along the said State highway in a south-westerly direction from the said boundary.
