I, DAFYDD STRACHAN EVANS, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the undermentioned societies are no longer carrying on their operations, they are hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908:—

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Improvement Loan, 1949
AT a meeting of the above Council held on the 19th September, 1949, the following resolution was passed:—
“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£22,250) authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned act, for the purpose of improving the water-supply of the Borough of Te Kuiti, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two and three-eighths of a penny (2¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

RAWLINGS SCHOLARSHIPS
In the matter of the RAWLINGS SCHOLARSHIPS constituted by the will of the late Humphrey Rawlings.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme for the extension of the age of boys eligible for the above-mentioned scholarships has been referred to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, at Auckland, together with a report of the Attorney-General thereon, and may be inspected by the public at the office of the Supreme Court at Auckland during office hours without any fee or charge.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council held on the 26th day of September, 1949, the following resolutions were passed:—
“‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“‘That for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £3,550 known as the Abattoir Renewal Loan, 1949, authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying off the Abattoir Improvement Loan, 1938, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-five one-thousandths (55/1000ths) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.’
“‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“‘That for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of £13,800 known as the Reservoir Renewal Loan, 1949, authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying off the Low Level Reservoir Loan, 1938—Issue of £18,000, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and fifty-two one-thousandths (152/1000ths) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.’”
