CORRIGENDUM
IN the Proclamation dated the 5th day of July, 1949, declaring land taken for a Government work and not required for that purpose to be Crown Land published in Gazette No. 41 of the 7th July, 1949, at page 1450, for the areas shown as situated in Block XI, Puniu Survey District, read the area of 132 acres 2 roods 0 perches as situated in Block XI, Puniu Survey District, and the area of 40 acres 2 roods 0 perches as situated in Block XV, Puniu Survey District.

Amending a Proclamation Setting Apart Land as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the Gazette on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at page 1285 (hereinafter referred to as the said Proclamation), an area of land containing 9,420 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks III, IV, and VIII, Abbey Rocks Survey District, and Block I, Mount Douglas Survey District, was set apart as a provisional State forest in terms of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, and whereas an error was made in the Schedule to the said Proclamation and it is desirable that this error be rectified:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section three of the Forests Amendment Act, 1925, do hereby amend the said Proclamation by omitting the words “7000 links along the eastern boundary of Block IV, Abbey Rocks Survey District,” in the Schedule to the said Proclamation, and substituting the words “along the eastern boundary of Block IV, Abbey Rocks Survey District 7000 links,” in lieu thereof; and I do hereby further declare that this Proclamation shall take effect as from the date on which the said Proclamation was intended to take effect.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion this 23rd day of September, 1949.

Land Taken for Street in the Borough of Upper Hutt

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for street and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 0·05 perches. Being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 12785, and being part of Section 120 of the Hutt District, and being also all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 528, folio 219 (Wellington Land Registry).
Situated in the Borough of Upper Hutt.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of September, 1949.

Land Taken for Better Utilization in Block II, Belmont Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utilization; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 3 roods 35 perches. Being part of Section 61 of the Porirua District and being Lot 17 on Deposited Plan 1900, and being also all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 234, folio 43 (Wellington Land Registry).
Situated in Block II, Belmont Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of September, 1949.
