Vesting a Reserve in the Stratford Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of September, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for municipal purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Stratford :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserve, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Stratford, in trust, for municipal purposes.

Recreation Reserve in South Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of September, 1949
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Pahoia Beach Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

NoticeDisallowing in Part an Island Ordinance

IN exercise of the powers conferred on me by section eighty-eight of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby disallow in part as hereinafter appears the Ordinance made by the Island Council of Niue, being Ordinance No. 37, to be cited as the Cinematograph Ordinance 1949, to which the consent of the Resident Commissioner by his deputy was given on the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, and it is hereby declared that this disallowance extends only to the words "by the Resident Commissioner" and the words "who shall hold office during the Resident Commissioner's pleasure" respectively contained in the section numbered 14 of the said Ordinance.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of September, 1949.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, South Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts

WHEREAS by the one-hundred-and-sixty-seventh section of the Land Act, 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the Gazette.
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby reserve the lands in the North Auckland, South Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, and Otago Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.
