with seniority from 14th June, 1946, and is appointed Assistant
Director of Hygiene, Southern Military District. Dated 1st August,
1949.

Gordon Logie McLeod, M.B., Ch.B., D.P.H. (late Lieutenant-
Colonel, R.A.M.C.), to be Lieutenant-Colonel, with seniority from
29th December, 1944, and is appointed Assistant Director of Hygiene,
Central Military District. Dated 1st August, 1949.

Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) A. W. S. Thompson, O.B.E.,
M.B., Ch.B. (Edin.), D.P.H., ceases to be posted to the 1st General
Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C. is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-
Colonel, with seniority from 1st December, 1948, and is appointed
