WAITOMO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Conversion Loan, 1949, of £3,900

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Waitomo Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order (No. 2), 1949, the Waitomo Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Waitomo Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, the said Waitomo Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths of a penny (3/25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within its electric-power district; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 20th day of June in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 20th day of June, 1959, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

WAITOMO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

LOAN CONVERSION ORDER (No. 2), 1949

I HEREBY certify that the necessary resolution to proceed with the conversion of the instalment of £5,000 of the Waitomo Electric-power Board Reticulation Loan, 1938, of £25,000, raised on the 20th day of December, 1939, in accordance with the Waitomo Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order (No. 2), 1949, of the 15th day of June, 1949, was passed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 20th day of June, 1949, and was confirmed at the ordinary monthly meeting of the said Board held on the 18th day of July, 1949.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Raumati Esplanade Loan, 1949, £2,270

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of two thousand two hundred and seventy pounds (£2,270), to be known as Raumati Esplanade Loan, 1949, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liabilities in respect of Raumati Road to Esplanade Loan, 1939, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound (½d. in the £) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Kapiti Riding of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held in Wellington, on the 13th day of July, 1949.
