Land Taken for Housing Purposes in the City of Dunedin

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes, excepting in respect of the land first described in the said Schedule that portion of the subsoil thereof below a plane ten feet in vertical height above the centre-line of the roof of the Caversham Tunnel taken by Proclamation dated the eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 26 of the twenty-first day of the same month at page 1072, and registered in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 2474 ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for post and telegraph purposes (employees’ hostel) ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 16·1 perches.
Being part Section 877, City of Wellington, also part Lot 26, D.P. 348, and part Section 879, City of Wellington, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 150, folio 37 (Wellington Land Registry).

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a police-station ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the benefit of the drainage easement appurtenant thereto created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 145342 (Canterbury Land Registry), and together with the benefit of the drainage rights appurtenant thereto reserved by Memorandum of Transfer No. 275885 (Canterbury Land Registry), is hereby taken for defence purposes.
