Appointment of Honorary Officers

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization district shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office from the 1st July, 1949, to the 30th November, 1949.

Dated at Wellington, this 6th day of July, 1949.

THE following Special Order made by the Rotorua County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931.

“ That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Rotorua County Council resolves, by way of Special Order : That as from the 1st April, 1950, sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, (as to the levy of general rates separately in ridings and as to the apportionment of income) shall not apply to the Rotorua County Council.”

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Waiopohu Survey District, for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Levin and there is open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood 1 perch
Being Section 13, Horowhenua Village Settlement.
Situated in Block I, Waiopohu Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 129253, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a milk-treating house: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Christchurch and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 13-1 perches.
Being part Town Section 787.
Situated in the City of Christchurch.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 129311, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
