ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVAL VOLUNTEER RESERVE

Temporary Surgeon Lieutenant Robert Middleton de Lambert, granted a permanent Commission in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as a Surgeon Lieutenant, with seniority of 11th June, 1945, and appointed as Second Medical Officer of Wellington Division, to date 20th September, 1948.

Temporary Lieutenant Norman Lindsay Millar (discharged), granted permanent Commission in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as Lieutenant, with seniority of 11th October, 1943, and appointed to Otago Division, vice Meldrum.

Temporary Sub-Lieutenant Bruce Allured Johns, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority of 19th October, 1948.

Dr. Cornelius William Whetter, M.B., Ch.B., granted a permanent Commission in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as Probationary Surgeon Lieutenant, with seniority of 5th August, 1948, and appointed to Canterbury Division, to date 5th August, 1948.

Mr. John Richard Herrick Hefford, B.D.S., entered in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve with rank of Probationary Surgeon Lieutenant (D) and appointed to Canterbury Division, to date 29th October, 1948.

Dr. Robert Henry Trevor Holmden, M.B., Ch.B. (N.Z.), granted a permanent Commission in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve as Probationary Surgeon Lieutenant and appointed as Third Medical Officer of Auckland Division, to date 30th November, 1948.

Captain (temp. Major) O. S. Olsen, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major. Dated 8th June, 1949.

Lieutenant (temp. Major) J. H. Garland, E.D., from the 1st Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C. (Waikato), to be Major, with seniority from 3rd April, 1941, and is posted to the 1st Battalion, Dated 1st December, 1948.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Major) J. Subritzky, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major. Dated 20th May, 1949.

Temp. Captain H. B. Smith, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 11th March, 1943. Dated 19th May, 1949.

Temp. Lieutenant W. R. Shaw, 1st Battalion, is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 20th May, 1949.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) A. D. Brooker, seconded to the Marton District High School Cadets, is confirmed.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) J. N. Caradus, seconded to the Ohakune District High School Cadets, is confirmed.

Donald James MacLachlan to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) and is seconded to the Wangānui Technical College Cadets, Area 6. Dated 4th May, 1949.
