Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture of Footwear
M. S. Clough, 258 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington, has applied for an extension of his existing licence so as to permit the manufacture of maids’ and women’s utility and comfort shoes, by the cemented process.
Malt Extract Industry
Salmond and Spraggon, Ltd., C.P.O. Box 662, Wellington, has applied for a variation of its existing licence on behalf of the company’s principals, Messrs. A. Wander, Ltd., for the removal of the restrictions on the packaging of malt extract by them.
Pharmacy Industry
H. G. Foster, 24 Rukutai Street, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy situated in the Consumers Co-op. Building, corner of Kepa Road and Kupe Street, Orakei, Auckland.
D. R. B. Bain, Fifth Avenue, Hamilton, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Te Rapa Road, Hamilton.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 21st July, 1949, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

PUBLIC NOTICE
THE COAL ACT, 1948
PUBLIC notice is given that, by virtue of the provisions of the Coal Act, 1948, and the regulations thereunder, returns in forms prescribed by the said regulations are required to be furnished to the Coal Valuation Commission on or before the 15th August, 1949, by—
(1) Every person by whom any amount was receivable by way of royalty or rent in respect of any privately owned coal or servitude in any of the seven years 1941 to 1947;
(2) Every person who extracted any privately owned coal in any of the seven years 1941 to 1947 without any royalty or rent being payable in respect thereof; and
(3) Every person who, being the owner of any privately owned land, permitted the exercise in any of the seven years 1941 to 1947 of the benefit of any servitude adversely affecting that land without any royalty or rent being payable in respect thereof.
Forms of returns may be obtained at the office of the Coal Valuation Commission, 7–9 Lower Taranaki Street, Wellington; the offices of the Inspectors of Mines at Huntly, Greymouth, and Dunedin; the offices of the New Zealand State Coal Mines at Auckland, Christchurch, and Invercargill; and the Courthouse at Whangarei.

DECLARATION BY AN ASSISTANT REGISTRAR DISSOLVING A SOCIETY
I, DAFYDD STRACHAN EVANS, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Dominion Fish Retailers’ Federation (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly of New Zealand relative to Private Bills, and in the matter of a private estate Bill intituled “An Act to Vary the Terms of the Trusts Created by the Late George Alexander Troup, of Wellington, and Annie Mary Troup, his Wife, by Extending the Period Within Which Certain Conditions Attaching to a Gift for the Building and Establishment of an Institute for the Organization Known as The Young Men’s Bible Class of the St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington, May be Performed.”
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand for the said Bill.
The objects of the said Bill are to extend from the 31st day of May, 1950, to the 31st day of May, 1956, the period within which the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees may expend, for the purpose of building and establishing an institute for the organization known as The Young Men’s Bible Class of the St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington, the trust funds now in their hands or under their control as trustees under the Declaration of Trust bearing date the 24th day of May, 1935, made by the late Sir George Alexander Troup, of Wellington, Retired Civil Servant, and Annie Mary Troup, his wife, and to vary the terms of the trusts of the said Declaration of Trust accordingly.
Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on the 11th day of July, 1949, and at the offices of Messrs. Morison, Spratt, and Taylor, Solicitors for the Trustees, the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees, 154 Featherston Street, Wellington.
