THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby
specifies the 30th day of March, 1950, as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing nine hundred and six (906) acres
and two (2) roods, more or less, being part Lot 14, Deposited Plan
2377, being Rural Section 16854, and parts Rural Sections 6406,
13795, 19386, and 21622, situated in Block XV, Hinds Survey
District, and Block III, Coldstream Survey District, and being all
the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 303, folio 69
(Canterbury Registry).

Social Security Act, 1938.—Notice Regarding Amendments to
Prescription Prices in New Zealand Formulary

ADDENDUM, June, 1949, to the New Zealand Formulary :—
NEW ZEALAND FORMULARY, PART 2
The reference in this part of the New Zealand Formulary to
the First Schedule to the Rules of Prescription Pricing shall, where
applicable, be deemed to be to the Prescription Pricing Supplement
1949/4, issued by the Pharmacy Plan Industrial Committee. This
amendment shall take effect with respect to all medical prescriptions
and midwifery orders (whatever the date thereof) that are presented
to a contractor for fulfilment on or after the 1st July, 1949.

1945, Revoked.—(Notice No. Ag. 4685)

PURSUANT to Regulation 2 (7) of the Citrus Canker Regulations
1945, the declaration of the pieces of land described in the
Schedule hereto as infected areas under the said regulations is hereby
revoked.

Position : Lat. 37° 37′ 34″·1 S. ; long. 176° 10′ 24″·5 E.
(Chart 2521).
Abridged Description : Gp. Fl. (2) 10 sec. 176 ft. 19 M. (U).
Details : A white light showing two flashes every 10 seconds
thus : Flash 2 sec., ecl. 2 sec., flash 2 sec., ecl. 4 sec. Arc of visibility
068° through south and west to 296° extending from Town Point to
Matakana Island. Light is mounted on a 12 ft. hardwood post and
will be exhibited on or about 5th July, 1949.

Tidal Streams
Details : The Master of the T.E.V. “Rangatira” reports
having experienced an exceptionally strong set to the north-west
when approaching Pencarrow Head on the morning of 8th June.
Strong south to south-east winds had been reported off the coast
for the previous twenty-four hours. The attention of masters is
drawn to the information given in the New Zealand Pilot, eleventh
edition, 1946, page 15, lines 1 to 6, and to the caution in the New
Zealand Nautical Almanac and Tide Tables, 1949, page 132.

Re-siting of Green Beacons
Details : It is anticipated that the work of re-siting the green
beacons will be put in hand about the end of this month. During
the three to four days required for the above change-over, it will
not be possible to give the north and south limits of the main
channel, only the centre or main leads being maintained. On
completion of the work the north and south limit lights and marks
will be displayed as usual.
