Revoking Portion of a Warrant Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant dated the 23rd day of November, 1938*, which refers to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hutt County—

All that area at Paraparaumu consisting of that portion of the Paraparaumu Beach Main Highway No. 512, commencing at a point 2 chains measured along the said main highway in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Moana Road and terminating at the junction of the said main highway with the Levin-Paekakariki State Highway.

Revoking Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that Warrant dated the 19th day of March, 1937, which refers to portion of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that the area described in the said Schedule shall be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Cheviot County—

All that area at Cheviot consisting of those portions of roads hereinafter described :—

(1) Picton–Christchurch State Highway No. 51, commencing at the Jed River Bridge and terminating at a point 3 chains measured along the said State highway in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Levin Street.

(2) Mina – Gore Bay Main Highway No. 148, commencing at the junction of the said main highway with Montgomery Street and terminating at the junction of the said main highway with Carroll Street.

New Plymouth Abattoir District Extended—(Notice No. Ag. 4671)

Wellington, 1st June, 1949.

PURSUANT to section 15 (7) of the Meat Act, 1939, notice is hereby given that—

(1) By deed of agreement dated the 7th day of February, 1949, made between the New Plymouth City Council and the Taranaki County Council, and expressed to come into force on the 1st day of January, 1950, the said City Council has agreed to make the abattoir established and maintained by it available from the 1st day of January, 1950, for that portion of the County of Taranaki described in the Schedule hereto ;

(2) From the 1st day of January, 1950, the New Plymouth Abattoir District as affected by the said agreement shall comprise all that area described in the Schedule hereto ; and

(3) The New Plymouth City Council shall be the controlling authority of the abattoir for the purposes of the New Plymouth Abattoir District described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area for the time being comprised in the City of New Plymouth and the County of Taranaki with the exception of that portion of the said county bounded on the north-east by the Pitone Road, on the south-east by the boundary of the Egmont National Park, on the south-west by the existing boundary between the said county and the County of Egmont, and on the north-west by the sea.
