HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :-

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
Territorial Force-
Lieutenant-Colonel C. L. Walter, D.S.O., E.D., relinquishes the appointment of C.O., 4th Medium Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 4th Medium Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, with seniority from 1st October, 1941. Dated 21st April, 1949.
Lieutenant-Colonel F. M. Yendell, from the Reserve of Officers Supplementary List, to be Lieutenant-Colonel, with seniority from 28th March, 1948, and is appointed C.O., 4th Medium Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 21st April, 1949.
Temp. Major W. L. Rutherford, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Major, with seniority from 13th January, 1947, and is posted to the 6th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., Dated 1st December, 1948.
Temp. Major S. Hardy, E.D., 2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 14th Composite Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Major, with seniority from 23rd January, 1943. Dated 1st May, 1949.
Major C. K. Reed, D.S.O., late 8th Medium Battery, to be Major, with seniority from 23rd September, 1944, and is appointed 2 i/c, 2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 1st December, 1948.
