A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Lands Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act, 1948

A PROCLAMATION

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being parts of a provisional State forest reserve, set apart by Proclamation dated the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, and gazetted on the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, are required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such lands shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those areas in the Whakatane County, containing by admeasurement a total of 294 acres and 21 perches, more or less, being parts of Section 1, Block XIII, Ahikereru Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/697, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (South Auckland Plan S.O. 33156.)

Authorizing the Construction of a Motor-way Between the City of Christchurch and the Borough of Lyttelton

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of June, 1949

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section forty-four of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Main Highways Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the construction of a motor-way between the City of Christchurch and the Borough of Lyttelton, such motor-way to commence in the City of Christchurch near the junction of Dyer's Road, Ferry Road, and Bamford Street, and to proceed in a south-easterly direction generally, passing through Pawaho Hamlet (County of Heathcote), and by way of a tunnel through the Port Hills, and to terminate near the junction of Jackson Road, Norwich Quay, and Simeon Quay in the Borough of Lyttelton.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Totara Street, in the Borough of Te Awamutu, Subject to Conditions as to the Building-line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of May, 1949

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section one hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Te Awamutu Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for a part of its length of less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10 of a subdivision of the land fronting the proposed street, within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street or on Lots 5, 6, 17, and 18 of the said subdivision within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street, all such Lots being shown on the plan referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Auckland Land District, Borough of Te Awamutu, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being part Section 87, Teasdale Settlement, part Lot 2, D.P. 19836, being portion Section 99, Teasdale Settlement, and parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 29183, being portion Section 99, Teasdale Settlement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 128702, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
