PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act,
1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land
subject to the Land Act, 1948.

State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

B Y virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart
the Crown land and provisional State forest described in the
Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.-NELSON CONSERVANCY

All those areas in the Marlborough Land District, Marlborough
County, containing by admeasurement 3,186 acres 2 roods 32
perches, more or less, being Crown land (2 acres 2 roods 32 perches)
and provisional State forest (3,184 acres) and described generally
as follows:-

All that area of Crown land containing 2 acres 2 roods 32
perches, more or less, being Section 10, Block IV, Heringa Survey
District.

Also all that area containing 3,184 acres, more or less, being
Sections 2, 8, and 9, Block IV, and Section 7, Block VII, Heringa
Survey District (provisional State forest-Gazette 1920, pages 934
and 935, and Gazette 1947, page 1833).

As the same are more particularly delineated on plans No.
103/16, 103/26, and 103/28, deposited in the Head Office of the
State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 10th day of May, 1949.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.-WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, Clifton County, con-
taining by admeasurement 8,118 acres, more or less, being Section
36, Block I, Section 1, Block II, Section 28, Block IV, and Section 4,
Block V, Mimi Survey District. As the same is more particularly
delineated on plan No. 51/7, deposited in the Head Office of the
State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of May, 1949.
