Proclaiming Maori Land to Have Become Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section four hundred and fifty-four of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the purchase of the land described in the Schedule hereto has been completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, do hereby proclaim that the said land has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Taumarunui County, containing 400 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in Block VI, Waimanu Survey District, and Block IV, Tongariro Survey District, and known as Okahukura 3B, being all the land comprised and described in a partition order of the Maori Land Court dated 15th day of June, 1948.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of May, 1949.

Additional Land at Bay View Taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 roods 7·1 perches. Being part of public road.
Situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Puketapu Survey District, Hawkes Bay County. (S.O. 2364, red.)
In the Hawkes Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9816, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green and edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1949.

Additional Land at Taumarunui Taken for the Purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 1 acre 5·8 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Taumarunui, being Allotments 8, 10, and 11, of Block 1 of the Taumarunui Native Township, and being originally part of Ohura South G (or Taumarunui) Block, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 833, folio 110 (Auckland Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of May, 1949.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 roods 28·7 perches. Being part Lot 1, L.T. 4989 (undeposited), being part Waikahu Block.
Situated in Block I, Clive Survey District, Hawkes Bay County. (S.O. 2361, red.)
In the Hawkes Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9810, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of May, 1949.
