by Transfer 26709, and being also all the land contained in interim

to the fencing covenant contained in Transfer 50225.
Also, all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one
thousand four hundred and twenty-nine (1,429) acres, more or less,
situated in Blocks III and IV, Maraekakaho Survey District, being
parts Block I, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District, and Ngatarawa
No. 3 Block, and being also Lots 10 and 11, Deposited Plan 5346,
together with (as appurtenant to the Ngatarawa No. 3 Block herein)
the right-of-way and drainage easements created by Transfer 26709,
and being also all the land contained in interim certificate of title,
Vol. 81, folio 216 (Hawkes Bay Registry), subject to the fencing
covenant contained in Transfer 61016.

Notice to Make Returns of Income Under the Land and Income Tax
Act, 1923, and Amendments
NOTICE is hereby given that returns of income for the year
ended 31st March, 1949, are required from :-
(a) All companies, all persons in business (including farming),
and all trustees, executors, and administrators, irrespective of
whether a profit or a loss has been made; and
(b) All other persons who derived during the year income from
salary, wages, interest, rent, annuity, dividend, or other sources,
where the total income so derived exceeded £200.
Such returns are required to be delivered or forwarded to the
Branch office of the Land and Income Tax Department where the
taxpayer's records are filed,-
(a) Not later than lst June, 1949, where returns are for a year
ending on any day falling in the period 1st October, 1948, to 31st
March, 1949, inclusive ; and
(b) Within two months of balance date where returns are for
a year ending on any day falling in the period 1st April, 1949, to
30th September, 1949, inclusive.
Return forms are available at all post-offices or from any office
of the Land and Income Tax Department. Any person failing to
furnish a return within the prescribed time is liable to a fine of up
to £100.
NOTE.-The extension of the date to 31st July for the
furnishing of declarations of income other than salary or wages
for social-security-charge purposes does not apply to returns of
income, for income-tax purposes, which must be furnished in
accordance with the above notice.

Manufacture of Footwear
R. Nielsen, Bythell's Buildings, Scott Street, Blenheim, has
applied for a licence to manufacture leather slippers by the cemented
process.
Pharmacy Industry
A. B. Munro, 14 Croydon Street, Christchurch, has applied
for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 58 Warrington Street,
St. Albans, Christchurch.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
H. C. Staniforth, Rotorua, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirit from six pumps at proposed service station premises
at the corner of Fenton and Froude Streets, Whakarewarewa,
Rotorua.
C. C. Sharp and K. D. Knight, Bridge Street, Bulls, have applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed
at garage premises at Bridge Street, Bulls.
B. D. Williamson, Kirwee, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed at garage premises
at Kirwee.
L. E. Smith, Waimapu, has applied for a licence to resell motor-
spirit from one pump to be installed at garage premises at Waimapu.
J. C. McKenzie, Morrin Road, Panmure, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed at
garage premises opposite Camp Bunn, Morrins Road, Panmure.
Tapanui Motors, Limited, Tapanui, has applied for a licence
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at garage
premises at Tapanui.
Kiwi Carriers Society, Limited, Wellington, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at
premises at Martin Square, Wellington.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 26th May, 1949, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.

Regulations Respecting the Blue Ensign of H.M. Fleet (Naval
Reserve Flag)
KING'S REGULATIONS AND ADMIRALTY INSTRUCTIONS (ARTICLE 126)
WITH reference to clause 1 (b) of the above regulations, as
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51, dated 29th
July, 1926, the number of reservists who must form part of the
crew in order that the ship may be eligible to fly the Blue Ensign
will, for the year 1949, be six.

Marketing Committee
PURSUANT to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Regulations
1940, made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agri-
culture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, notice is hereby given that
a copy of the Roll of Producers in the Northern Ward qualified to
vote, and a copy of the Roll of Producers in the Southern Ward
qualified to vote at the election of producers' representatives on the
Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee established by the said
regulations, will be deposited for public inspection during ordinary
office hours, for a period of seven days from the 18th day of May,
1949, at the undermentioned post-offices :-
