Exemption Order Under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions
of clause (l) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the
persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply:-
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regula-
tions 1940, to any one of the persons described in Column I of the
Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment on a farm or market garden
of the respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule,
but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen
years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

    1947, I, Mabel Bowden Howard, Minister of Health, give notice
    that I have approved of the following valve-type hearing aids for
    the purposes of these regulations :-

    THE following Special Order made by the Dunedin City Council
    on the 13th day of April, 1949, is published in accordance with
    the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
    SPECIAL ORDER
    " THAT the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves, so that this
    resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council
    and operate as a Special Order, that hemlock (Conium maculatum)
    be and is hereby declared to be a noxious weed in the City of Dunedin
    under the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928."

    The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice of
    Intention to Take Lands
    THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of
    the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby
    gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the
    Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the
    15th day of February, 1950, as the date on which possession of
    the land is required, and the 14th day of June, 1949, as the date
    on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of
    the said Act.

    ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement four hundred
    and fifty-two (452) acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block XV,
    Kaipara Survey District, and being all of the land described in
    certificate of title, Vol. 53, folio 67 (Auckland Registry).
    Also all that parcel of land situated in Block XV, Kaipara
    Survey District, containing by admeasurement eighty-seven (87)
    acres, more or less, being Allotments S.E. 33 and N.W. 34, Ararimu
    Parish, and being all of the land described in conveyance No.
    203459 (R. 177/54), Deeds Index 23A, folio 320 (Auckland Registry).
    Also all that parcel of land situated in Block XV, Kaipara
    Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and
    twenty-six (226) acres three (3) roods twenty-three decimal six
    (23Β·6) perches, more or less, being Allotments 32, N.W. 33, and
    part of Allotment S.E. 31, Ararimu Parish, and being all of the
    land described in certificate of title, Vol. 597, folio 58 (Auckland
    Registry), limited as to parcels and title.
    Also all that parcel of land situated in Block XV, Kaipara
    Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-eight (58)

    being portion of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 677, being part of Waimata
    South Block, and being the whole of the land described in certificate
    of title, Vol. 85, folio 5 (Gisborne Registry).
    Also all that area situated in Block XII, Waimata Survey
    District, containing by admeasurement one thousand and eighty
    (1,080) acres, more or less, being Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 1772,
    being part of Waimata South Block, and being the whole of the
    land described in certificate of title, Vol. 85, folio 6 (Gisborne
    Registry).
    Also all that area situated in Block XIV, Waimata Survey
    District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and seventy-
    five (275) acres two (2) roods one (1) perch, more or less, being
    Lots 44, 45, 46, and 47 on Deposited Plan 1309, being part of Whatau-
    poko No. 1 Block and Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 2277, being part
    of Whataupoko No. 8 Block, and being the whole of the land described
