NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928
N OTICE is hereby given that the North Shore Fire Board proposes to execute a certain public work—namely, the provision of a fire-brigade station and ancillary buildings—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Secretary to the said Board situated at the Council Chambers, Hauraki Street, Birkenhead, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary at the Council Chambers, Hauraki Street, Birkenhead.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 6 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being part of Lots 2 to 6 (inclusive) of Section XI on a plan lodged in the Deeds Registry Office at Auckland under No. T.17, and being part of Allotment 75 of the Parish of Takapuna, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Vol. 553, folio 187, Vol. 553, folio 188, and Vol. 553, folio 189 (Auckland Registry), limited as to parcels.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Roading and Drainage Redemption Loan, 1949 of £11,700
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £11,700, authorized to be raised by the Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding balance of a portion (£10,500) of the Roading Loan, 1926, and a portion (£9,500) of the Drainage Loan, 1926, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought three of a penny (·03d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

N OTICE is hereby given that the Hawkes Bay County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely—to provide a road—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council in Market Street, Hastings, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, at his office in Browning Street, Napier.
