A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of an aerodrome (staff accommodation); and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the ninth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine.

Crown Land Set Apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas in the Nelson Land District, Murchison County, containing by admeasurement 1,060 acres 1 rood, more or less, and described generally as follows :—
All that area containing by admeasurement 118 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section 5, Block V, Matakikaki Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east and south by permanent State forest (Gazette 1935, page 174); towards the south-east by Section 2, Block X, Matakikaki Survey District; towards the west by the other part of Section 5 aforesaid; and towards the north by Section 7, Block V aforesaid.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 229 acres 2 roods, 20 perches, more or less, being part of Section 1, Block IX, Matakikaki Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by the other part of Section 1 aforesaid; towards the south by Section 11, Block IX aforesaid, being permanent State forest (Gazette, 1940, page 281); towards the west by Section 10A, Block IX aforesaid, being permanent State forest aforesaid; and towards the south-west by Section 12, Block IX aforesaid, being permanent State forest aforesaid.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 711 acres 7 roods, more or less, being part of Section 1, Block II, and part of Section 1, Block VI, Una Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south-east by permanent State Forest (Gazette, 1935, page 174); towards the south-west by Section 2, Block VI aforesaid; towards the north-west by the other part of Section 1, Block VI aforesaid, and the other part of Section 1, Block II aforesaid; and towards the north by Section 5, Block II aforesaid.
As the same is more particularly delineated on plans No. 114/13 and 121/9, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson S.O. plans 9541, 9542, and 9543.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of April, 1949.
