UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL
Under the Public Works Act, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that by notice dated the 25th day of November, 1948, the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt required to take certain lands in the Borough of Upper Hutt for the purposes of a public work—namely, a street; and notice is hereby further given that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being part of the lands described in the aforesaid notice, are not now required for the purposes of the said public work and the aforesaid notice is hereby withdrawn in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan 1949, £690
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board, a corporate body duly incorporated under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Board’s Redemption Loan, 1949, £690, authorized to be raised by Order in Council appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 13, 3rd March, 1949, at page 672, the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-fiftieth of a penny (1/150d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District comprising the Borough of Akaroa, the Counties of Akaroa, Wairewa, Mount Herbert, and the Diamond Harbour settlement in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Dated at Little River, this 12th day of April, 1949.

RADLEY WATER HEATERS (N.I.), LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of RADLEY WATER HEATERS (N.I.), LIMITED (in voluntary liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 30th day of March, 1949, a minute was signed by the requisite number of shareholders for the purpose of becoming an entry in the minute-book of Radley Water Heaters (N.I.), Limited:—
“ 1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“ 2. That Mr. GEORGE CLARENCE BEAUMONT, of 28 Isis Street, Radley, Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
THIS is to notify that the partnership hitherto existing between THOMAS GUISE, ERIC THOMAS GUISE, and CRIGHTON BONNEY, as Sawmillers, of Waipango, is dissolved by common consent as from the 12th day of April, 1949. The business to be carried on by the said ERIC THOMAS GUISE and CRIGHTON BONNEY.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
TAKE notice that the partnership heretofore existing between FREDERICK BASLEY DAY, of Rotorua, Restaurant Proprietor, and FREDERICK GEORGE SHADBOLT, of Rotorua, Farmer, trading in partnership in and around Rotorua under the name or style of “Shadbolt and Day” is hereby by mutual consent dissolved as from the 10th day of May, 1949.
All accounts owing to or by the partnership must be paid or rendered to the said FREDERICK BASLEY DAY.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between HERBERT HECTOR WILSON and DOUGLAS GEORGE HOPKINS, both of Timaru, Fishermen, and carried on at Timaru under the name of “Wilson and Hopkins” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
All accounts owing by the partnership will be paid by HERBERT HECTOR WILSON and all moneys owing to the partnership will be received by him.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Extension Loan (No. 5), 1949, £55,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Bay of Islands Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £55,000 (fifty-five thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing additional moneys for the further reticulation of the Bay of Islands Electric-power District, the said Bay of Islands Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/10d. (five-tenths of one penny) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Bay of Islands Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
