IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for a site for a
telegraph office and for other purposes of public utility connected
with the administration of the General Government of New Zealand
over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land
available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

WHEREAS the control of the land described in the Schedule
hereto was vested in the Northbank Settlers' Public Hall
Board as a reserve for a site for a public hall by an Order in Council
dated the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-four, and published in Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of
that month, in pursuance of section seventeen of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council
should be revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby revoke the Order in
Council hereinbefore referred to.

Authorizing Norman James Peacock of Murchison, Farmer, to Use
Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect
Certain Electric Lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of
March, 1949
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Norman James
Peacock, of Murchison, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the
licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to
obstruct, impound, or divert the waters of Burnett's Creek and an
unnamed stream situated in part Section 1, Block XI, Maruia
Survey District, and in part Section 2, Block XII, Maruia Survey
District, respectively, all in the Land District of Nelson, and to take
and use therefrom for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of
water not exceeding one cubic foot per second at any one time, and
to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter
described.
CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-
power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935
shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except
in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof. -
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934,
and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference
Regulations 1934, and to any regulations made or to be made in
amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor. -
UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of
generating electricity, and shall be taken from the said Burnett's
Creek and the said unnamed stream at the points in part Section 1,
Block XI, Maruia Survey District, and part Section 2, Block XII,
Maruia Survey District, respectively, as indicated on the plan
marked S.H.D. 65, deposited in the office of the Minister in charge
of the State Hydro-electric Department.
