TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric-power Board Electrical Extension Loan, 1948, of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board by special order under section 3 of the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1947, for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths (2/5ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric-power District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a Resolution passed by the Board and appearing in the minutes of the proceedings on the 16th day of February, 1949.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 1st day of February, 1949, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £48,000 to £27,947, and the minute approved by the Court, showing with respect to the capital of the company the several particulars required by the above Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies at Wellington on the 3rd day of March, 1949. The said minute is in the words and figures following :—

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE PORTION OF ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Counties Act, 1924

NOTICE is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to close the various portions of road herein described.

Notice is further given that plans of the road proposed to be closed are deposited in the public offices of the clerk to the said Council at Ngaruawahia and at the offices of Messrs. Tompkins and Wake, Solicitors, Wesley Chambers, Victoria Street, Hamilton, and are open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons who have any well-grounded objections to the closing of the said road must state their objections in writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice—that is, on or before the 22nd day of March, 1949—to the Raglan County Council at Council Chambers, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia.
