OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Upper Clutha Renewal Loan, 1948
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £24,400 authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Upper Clutha Valley Reticulation Loan, 1937, of £35,000, the said Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and seven-twentieths (1 7/20ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Upper Clutha Valley portion of the Otago Central Electric-power District as described in the Proclamation dated 14th September, 1937, appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the 16th September, 1937, at page 2172 thereof; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Otago Central Electric-power Board at a special meeting held on the 21st December, 1948, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting held on the 15th February, 1949.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Buildings Renewal Loan, 1948
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,800 authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Buildings and Reticulation Extension Loan, 1937, of £7,000, the said Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth (1/20th) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000 authorized to be raised by the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further reticulating the Te Awamutu Electric-power District, including the purchase of all necessary material, plant, land, and rights over land, and the payment of wages and engineering, survey, legal, and other fees, the said Te Awamutu Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sevenths (3/7ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Te Awamutu Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAWKES BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
LOAN CONVERSION
PURSUANT to clause 4 (2) of the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order 1949, I, Clarence David Cox, Chairman of the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board, hereby certify that the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board at a special meeting held on the 21st day of December, 1948, passed a resolution to issue new securities in conversion of the existing securities comprising the Reticulation Loan, 1926, £200,000, subject to and in accordance with the provisions contained in the said order and that such resolution was confirmed at a meeting of the said Board held on the 15th day of February, 1949.

HAWKES BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order 1949, the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, the said Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third (1/3rd) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the area over which a special rate was made and levied as security for the loan specified in the First Schedule to the Hawkes Bay Electric-power Board Loan Conversion Order 1949, namely those areas of land within the boundaries of the County of Hawkes Bay and the Town District of Taradale, on the 5th day of March, 1926; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 30th day of September, 1962, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928, FOR A PUBLIC PARK AND PLEASURE GROUND IN THE TOWN DISTRICT OF HOWICK
NOTICE is hereby given that the Howick Town Board, a body corporate, duly constituted under the provisions of the Town Board Act, 1908, proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take for a public work—namely for the purposes of a public park and pleasure ground—all that piece of land situated in the Howick Town District containing 2 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less, being the northern portion of Allotment 11 of Section 7 of small Lots near the Village of Howick, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 758, folio 230, of the Auckland Land Registry: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Howick Town Board at Howick, and is there open for inspection at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Howick Town Board at its office, Picton Street, Howick.
