HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointment, relinquishment of commission, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 50, dated 18th July, 1946, relative to Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) G. M. McCaskill (then N.Z. Staff Corps) relinquishing the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, is hereby cancelled.
THE ROYAL N.Z. ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
6352 Sergeant Arthur Claude Weddell is granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant and Quartermaster for the duration of the Regular Force Officer Candidates' Course No. 5. Dated 29th January, 1948.
