Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Opotiki, Gisborne Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for police purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for police purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
Allotments 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 324, 325, 326, 327, 328, and 329 of Section 1, Town of Opotiki: Area, 3 acres, more or less.

Cancelling the Vesting of Portion of a Reserve in the Whakatane County Council

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve for a site for buildings of the Whakatane County Council, and is vested, in trust, in the Whakatane County Council:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Whakatane County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Whakatane County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for gravel purposes, and is vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Vincent County:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Vincent County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Vincent County of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for gravel-pit purposes, and is vested in the Southland County Council:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Southland County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Southland County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Laingholm Central Improvement Society (Incorporated)

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Laingholm Central Improvement Society (Incorporated):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Laingholm Central Improvement Society (Incorporated), subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:β€”

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof.
  2. The said Society shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve.
    A copy of every such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each financial year.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the County of Waitemata, situated in Block VI, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 40 on D.P. 19099, and being part Allotment 35, Parish of Waikomiti. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/4644, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
