Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (herein-after referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 20, Block IX, Wakamarina Survey District: Area, 12 acres 0 roods 25 perches, more or less.
Also Section 30, Block IX, Wakamarina Survey District: Area, 66 acres, more or less. (S.O. 583.)
Also Section 68, Block IX, Wakamarina Survey District: Area, 86 acres, more or less. (S.O. 583.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1948.

Revoking the Reservation Over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Nelson Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Collingwood County, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 17 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 3655, and being part Section 1, Square 19, situated in Block VII, Pakawau Survey District, and being portion of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 98, folio 201 (Nelson Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/910, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. (Nelson S.O. plan 9544.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1948.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for waterworks.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and forty-nine of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitemata County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 1 acre 12·8 perches.
