Officiating Ministers for 1948.—Notice No. 30

Wellington, 29th November, 1948.
P URSUANT to the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, the following names of officiating ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information :—
The Church of the Province of New Zealand, Commonly Called the Church of England
The Reverend Hugh Ernest Thomson.
The Salvation Army
Major Edward Nicholson.

CROWN LANDS NOTICE
Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 30th November, 1948.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Friday, 13th January, 1949.
The sections may at the option of the applicants be purchased for cash or on deferred payments (term 10 years) or taken on renewable lease (33 years perpetually renewable).
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 25th January, 1949, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands. Applicants who are servicemen or discharged servicemen, or the wives or widows of servicemen or discharged servicemen, have preference over all other classes of applicants.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the required deposit, and lease fee.

Whakatane County.—Town of Edgecumbe
Section 8: Area, 1 rood. Capital value or purchase price, £65. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £3 18s. 10d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 12s. 6d.
Section 9: Area, 37 perches. Capital value or purchase price, £60. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £3 12s. 4d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Section 81: Area, 39 perches. Capital value or purchase price, £60. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £3 12s. 4d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Section 82: Area, 35 perches. Capital value or purchase price, £65. Deposit on deferred payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: ten years), £3 18s. 10d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 12s. 6d.
Areas subject to slight alteration on completion of survey.
These are building sections situated in the Town of Edgecumbe fronting the Rotorua-Whakatane Main Highway, approximately half a mile from present Edgecumbe Post-office, Railway-station, and school.
