O'LEARY ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this Ist day of December, 1948 Present : HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waimea County Council on the ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, viz. :- " The Waimea County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the Waimea County, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-eastern portion of public road marked A-B fronting the north-western boundary of Sections 174 and 176 ; all of the public road marked B-C adjoining Sections 92, Square 1 and 176 ; the western portion of public road marked C-D fronting the eastern boundary of Sections 174 and 176 ; and the north-western portion of public road marked D-E fronting the south-eastern boundary of Section 174, the whole fronting subdivision of Sections 174 and 176, Waimea East, and Section 92, Square 1, Block VI, Waimea Survey District, and contained in Certificates of Title 59/47 and 48"; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions of the public roads (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of roads. SCHEDULE The south-eastern side of all that portion of public road situated in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, fronting the north-western boundary of Sections 174 and 176, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. Also all that portion of public road situated in the said land district and county adjoining Section 92, Squares 1 and 176, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. Also the western side of all that portion of public road situated in the said land district and county fronting the eastern boundary of Sections 174 and 176, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. Also the north-western side of all that portion of public road situated in the said land district and county fronting Section 174, Block VI, Waimea Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127923, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. T. J. SCHEDULE All that portion of road in the Gisborne Land District, County of Waikohu, known as Rangatira Road, fronting Lots 1 and 2 on a plan lodged for deposit in the Land Registry Office at Gisborne as No. 3768, and parts Lots 25 and 13 and Lot 14, D.P. 1287, being parts Karaka No. 2 Block, Block IV, Waikohu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127985, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured burnt sienna. T. J. O'LEARY PURSUANT to section nine of the Urban Farm Land Rating Act, 1932, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby appoint Raymond Ferner, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, Christchurch, to be the Judge of the Assessment Court for the Borough of Rangiora. Appointment of Officer for the Purpose of the Food and Drugs Act, 1947 1947 B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General By his Deputy, H. F. O'LEARY PURSUANT to the Food and Drugs Act, 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint John McGregor to be an officer for the purposes of the Food and Drugs Act, 1947. Land Permanently Reserved in the Canterbury Land District B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General By his Deputy, H. F. O'LEARY WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral licence, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned : And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette : And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by the Warrant dated the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the first day of July of that year, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for a resting-place for travelling stock : Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto for a resting-place for travelling stock, for which purpose the said land was so temporarily reserved as aforesaid. SCHEDULE CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT RESERVE 4312, Block XIV, Mandamus Survey District : Area 9 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less. O'LEARY ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of December, 1948 Present : HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Waikohu County Council on the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, the portion of road affected thereby being that described in the Schedule hereto, viz. : - " The Waikohu County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Waikohu, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the portion of road adjoining Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 3768, Lot 14 and part Lots 13 and 25, D.P. 1287, being parts Karaka No. 2 Block (Town of Te Karaka), Block IV, Waikohu Survey District"; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road
