Altering the Boundaries of the North Canterbury Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the North Canterbury Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL those areas in the Land District of Canterbury, being portions of the County of Cheviot, described as follows :—
(a) Containing by admeasurement 3,811 acres, more or less, situated in Block XVI, Culverden Survey District, and comprising Sections 162–3, 191–2, and parts Sections 40, 82–5, 161, 190, 193–4 of Square 89, and Sections 205, 211–14, and parts Sections 206, 215–16 of Square 106, as more particularly delineated on deeds plan attached to Conveyance No. 111111 in Volume 5N, folio 369, in the office of the Registrar of Deeds, at Christchurch, and contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 408, folio 194.
(b) Situated in Blocks XI, XII, and XV, Hawkswood Survey District, and Block III, Cheviot Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point being the north-western corner of Lot 4 on plan deposited in the Canterbury District Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 5374, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction by a public road and by the Conway River to the sea; thence southerly generally by the sea to the southern boundary of Lot 6 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 5372; thence westerly by the southern boundary of Lot 6 aforesaid, and generally in a northerly direction by the western boundary of the said Lot 6, the western boundary of Lot 5 on plan deposited as aforesaid as No. 5371, and the western boundary of Lot 4 aforesaid to the point of commencement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 63, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of November, 1948.

Land Taken, Subject to Certain Rights, for a Workers' Hostel in Block II, Wairio Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to the rights created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 54393, Southland Land Registry, for a workers’ hostel; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres 1 rood 2 perches.
Being part Lot 19, D.P. 1289, being part Section 90.
Situated in Block II, Wairio Survey District (Southland R.D.).

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127721, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of November, 1948.

Land Taken for Workers’ Dwellings in Block XV, Purua Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for workers’ dwellings and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Whangarei as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
