SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situate in Block I, Huangarua Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and seventy-one (271) acres one (1) rood thirty-six decimal six (36·6) perches, more or less, being part Uruokakiti South B No. 3, and being also all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 293, folio 74 (Wellington Registry).

As witness my hand, this 3rd day of November, 1948.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice Declaring Lands Taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the said Act the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65 on the 6th day of November, 1947, at page 1751.:

And whereas objections were made by the owners and occupiers of the said lands in the manner prescribed by the said Act, objecting to the taking of the said lands :

And whereas the Minister of Lands did not revoke his notice of intention to take the said lands :

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the said objections were referred did, on the 20th day of April, 1948, make an order disallowing such objections and determining that the said lands are farm lands suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman or of two or more discharged servicemen :

And whereas an appeal from the said order was made by the owners of the said lands within the time prescribed by the said Act :

And whereas such appeal was withdrawn:

And whereas the owners have agreed to an amended vesting-date :

And whereas the said lands are not the lands of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the said Schedule are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 23rd day of March, 1949, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing one hundred (100) acres three (3) roods and eight one-hundredths (0·08) of a perch, more or less, being Section 24 of Selection Block 2, Douglas Block, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 36, folio 132 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that area containing fifty-one (51) acres one (1) rood twenty-nine (29) perches, more or less, being part Section 25 of Selection Block 2, Douglas Block, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 37, folio 36 (Wellington Registry).

As witness my hand, this 11th day of November, 1948.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Association

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, the registration of the New Zealand Motor-body Builders’ Industrial Association of Employers, registered number 1041, situated at Wellington, will, unless cause to the contrary be shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Claim for Registration of School Colours

THE following claim for registration of school colours, &c., has been made in accordance with the regulations published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th August, 1915, and amendments thereto.

The claim will be registered unless objection is received by me within forty days of the publication hereof.


DILWORTH SCHOOL

Colours—

Cap: Crimson stripe between Celtic green stripes on a mid-grey background; each stripe ⅜ in. wide, at intervals of 1¼ in.

Stockings: On turnover, one crimson band between two Celtic green bands each ⅓ in. wide.

Badge: On a green base a double towered castle on an azure background; the castle surmounted by three stars. Beneath the whole, the words “Firmiter et Fideliter.”
