A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for waterworks and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work, and not Required for That Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
(a) All that area of the site of land declared to be Crown land: 20 perches.
Being part Allotment 5, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna.
Situated in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District (Borough of Devonport) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 34595.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127912, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Altering the Boundaries of the Wairarapa Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Wairarapa Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
(a) All that area in the Wellington Land District, being portion of the County of Featherston, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Wakapuni and Ngawapurua Streams, being a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Wairarapa Electric-power District, as described in Gazette No. 28 of 9th April, 1936, at page 702; proceeding thence in an easterly direction by Ngawapurua Stream and the south-eastern boundary of Ngawaka-a-Kupe 2E, Block III, Waipawa Survey District, to the western corner of Section 112, Pahaoa District; thence in a south-easterly direction generally by the south-western boundary of the said Section 112 and by Rerewhakaaitu River to the northernmost corner of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 5582; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 3 to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 1126; thence in a westerly direction generally by the northern boundaries of the said Lot 2, Lot 1 on plan A/3167, Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 6002, and Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 5937, to the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XVI, Haurangi Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction by the south-western boundaries of Lots 1 and 12 on Deposited Plan No. 5314; thence south-easterly by the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 12; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 5314, and by the western boundary of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 2773 to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 207, Awhea District, Block VI, Waipawa Survey District, being a point on the southern boundary of the said Wairarapa Electric-power District; thence in a northerly and easterly direction generally by the said boundary to the junction of the Wakapuni and Ngawapurua Streams, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 60, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon coloured blue.
(b) All that area in the Wellington Land District, being portion of the County of Masterton, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Waingawa River in line with the north-western boundary of Section 43, Block XV, Mikimiki Survey District; proceeding thence north-westerly along the said left bank to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 371, Block XIV, Mikimiki Survey District; thence to the middle of the Waingawa River, being the boundary of the Wairarapa South County; thence north-westerly generally by the boundary of the Wairarapa South County; thence in a north-easterly direction by the boundary of the Horowhenua County; thence in a south-easterly and southerly direction by the boundary of the Mauriceville County to the northernmost corner of Section 32, Block VIII, Mikimiki Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction by the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the left bank of the Ruamahanga River; thence in a southerly direction by that left bank to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 38, Block VII, Mikimiki Survey District; thence in a westerly and southerly direction generally by the northern boundaries of said Section 38, the western boundary of said Section 38 and of Section 37, Block XII, Mikimiki Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of Section 36, as shown on Deposited Plan No. 6526; thence in a westerly direction generally by the northern boundaries of the said Section 36 and of Section 28 and of Section 26, as shown on plan A/1493, Block XII, Mikimiki Survey District, and of Sections 59 and 58, Block XI, Mikimiki Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundaries of Section 58 aforesaid and of Section 72A to the northern boundary of the Falloon Settlement; thence in a westerly and southerly direction by the northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 1 of that settlement and by the western boundaries of Sections 1, 4, and Lots 1 and 2 of Section 5 of the said settlement to the northernmost corner of Section 41, Block XI, Mikimiki Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction by the north-western boundaries of Sections 41 and 40, Block XI, and Sections 37 and 36, Block XV, Mikimiki Survey District, the northern and western boundaries of Section 43, Block XV, Mikimiki Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to a point on the left bank of the Waingawa River, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 61, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of November, 1948.
