At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of February, 1948
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 46 acres 0 roods 25·6 perches.
Being part Lot 4, D.P. 1996, and being part Rural Section 17925.
Situated in Block III, Spaxton Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7676.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 123523, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged orange.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Edwin Roland Friend,
Alan Edwin Furness,
Charles Ashton Jordan,
Furgus Basil Pearson Drummond,
Douglas Andrew Hedley Barker,
Thomas Alexander,
Wilfred Lawrence Griffith,
William Arthur Collins, and

to be the Stanley Brook Memorial Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the old School, Stanley Brook, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the Regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown herein.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Edward George Downes, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of District Chief Clerk of the Housing Division at Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

PURSUANT to section eighteen of the Rehabilitation Amendment Act, 1944, and pursuant to a request made to me by the Rehabilitation Board in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the officers of the Public Service whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto to execute, on behalf of the Rehabilitation Board, deeds and other documents being agreements relating to the hire and purchase of tools of trade and other chattels supplied to persons undergoing training at a rehabilitation trade-training centre.
