Officers Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Revoking Appointment of Trustees for Braeburn Cemetery

Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant of the fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, published in the Gazette on the twentieth day of December of the same year at page 3616, whereby the Murchison County Council was appointed to be the trustees of the Braeburn Cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of November, 1948.

Ellen Marion Pysden, late Captain, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is granted a short-service commission for a period of two years as from 12th November, 1948, in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 26th May, 1947. Dated 12th November, 1948.
