Notice of General Meeting
NOTICE is hereby given that the affairs of the company having now been fully wound up, a general meeting of creditors of Phormium Cellulose, Limited (in liquidation), will be held at the office of Frank B. Wright, Public Accountant, 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, 1st December, 1948, at 11 a.m., for the purpose of laying before the creditors an account of the winding-up, showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and to give any explanation thereof.

THE WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THE Waitaki Electric-power Board, at its meeting on 8th November, 1948, resolved:
"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £40,000, to be known as 'Extension Loan, 1948,' authorized to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act and under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of further reticulation of the Board's district, including the construction and erection of additional transmission and distribution lines and substations, the augmenting of existing lines and substations, the purchase and erection of all necessary equipment therefor, and generally the exercise of such of the Board's rights and powers as may be deemed expedient under the authority of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and amendments thereto, the said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·084 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the said Board's district; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the twenty-five years' currency of the said loan, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and that the said special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the interest and principal repayment charges or sinking fund charges and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan."

(1) A list of members of the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, of accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2) Those who died after discharge from the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service up to 31st December, 1923.
(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force of New Zealand.

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
