H IS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in pursuance of section 56 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, to appoint, on the 22nd day of October, 1948—

George Robert Roxburgh Ker

to be a member of the Glencoe Rabbit Board, vice Arnold Simpson, resigned.

Members of the Dairy Factory Managers Registration Board Appointed.—(Notice No. Ag. 4563)

P URSUANT to the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 3 : 2 of the Dairy Factory Managers Regulations 1941, the Minister of Agriculture doth hereby appoint—

(1) On the recommendation of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association—

(2) On the recommendation of the New Zealand Dairy Board—

William Edward Hale, Esquire,

being a dairy company director;

(3) On the recommendation of the Board of Governors of the Massey Agricultural College—

Professor William Riddet,

being a member of the staff of the Massey Agricultural College;

(4)

Hubert John Petch, Esquire,

being a member of the staff of the Department of Agriculture,

to be members of the Dairy Factory Managers Registration Board established by the said regulations.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Auckland for Post and Telegraph Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for Post and Telegraph purposes : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Auckland and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 1 rood 7 perches.

Being Allotment 18 of Section 17, City of Auckland.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127925, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a Maori school : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tokomaru Bay and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
