Leading Lights.—Alteration in Colour
Position : Lat., 41° 15'·5 S.; long., 173° 06'·5 E. (approx.).
Details : As from 1st November, 1948, the lights on the inner leading beacons situated on Mapua Wharf will be changed to fixed green.

Notice to Mariners No. 48 of 1948

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—NAPIER
Signal Station Removed.—Point of Reference Altered
Position : Lat., 39° 28'·7 S.; long., 176° 55'·3 E. (approx.).
Details: The Signal Mast formerly on the roof of the Harbour Board's office adjacent to the shore end of No 3 Wharf has been removed.
This mast was given in the New Zealand Nautical Almanac as a point of reference with regard to two rocky shoals near the harbour. This information should be altered as follows :-
For 022½° 14·6 cables from the Signal Mast on the Board's office.
Read 027½° 12·7 cables from the floodlight tower at the seaward end of No. 3 Wharf.
For 009½° 10·7 cables from the Signal Mast.
Read 013½° 8·8 cables from the floodlight tower on No. 3 Wharf.
Chart affected: No. 2513.

Details : Mariners are hereby notified that a fireworks display in which distress rockets will be used will be carried out on Lyall Bay Beach on 5th November, 1948, between 1900 and 2200 hours.

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Dannevirke, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Dannevirke taken on the 5th day of October, 1948, on a proposal of the Dannevirke Borough Council to raise a loan of £2,000 for the erection of a ladies' rest-room, the number of votes recorded was as follows :-

Claims by New Zealand Nationals Against Italy, Roumania, Bulgaria, and Hungary and Their Nationals
PURSUANT to Regulation 18 of the Treaties of Peace Regulations 1948, all New Zealand nationals who have claims against any of the above-mentioned late enemy States, or against any national of any such State (other than claims for loss or damage due to acts of war and claims in respect of property situated in any such State) are required to submit to the Public Trustee, Lambton Quay, Wellington, full particulars in writing of such claims, within three calendar months of the date of publication of this notice.
Every such claimant who is a British subject by naturalization must produce letters of naturalization-in support of his claim. No claim from any person who was granted British naturalization subsequent to the date of the armistice with the State against which, or against a national of which, his claim is made, can be admitted.
Any claim received after three months from the date of publication of this notice is liable to exclusion.
