THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Survey District, and Section 11 of Block IX, Maungamangero Survey District, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mangaotaki-Kiritehere Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the generally eastern boundary of an area of Crown land set apart as provisional State forest by Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 65 of the 8th day of July, 1920, at page 2119; thence along a right line to and along the said eastern boundary, to and along a right line being the north-western boundary of Lot 2 of Section 9 of Block VI, Maungamangero Survey District, produced to the middle of the Mangaoahae Stream ; thence down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 1 of the said Block VI; thence easterly generally along a right line to and along the said south-western boundary, and the south-western boundaries of Sections 15 and 16 of the said Block VI, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road, to and along the generally south-western and southern boundaries of Section 7 of the said Block VI and the southern boundaries of Sections 10, 9, 8, 36, and part of 7, and 6 of Block VII, Maungamangero Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 17 of Block VIII, Maungamangero Survey District ; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of the said Section 17, and a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of the Kihikihi Road; thence along the middle of that road to and down the middle of the Mangaotaki River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 11703, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Karu O te Whenua B No. 2B 1B Block; thence westerly generally along a right line to and along the said northern boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Puketiti No. 3B 2c 1 Block, and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 12503, deposited as aforesaid, being part of Puketiti No. 3B 2c Block, along the north-western and western boundaries of Puketiti No. 3B 2D Block, the northern boundaries of Puketiti No. 2B 3B Block, and Section 5, Block II, Awakino East Survey District, and along a right line to and along the northern boundary of Section 7 of the said Block II, and along a right line across the Mangaorongo Road to and along the northern and south-western boundaries of Section 6 of the said Block II, to and along the generally western side of the Mangaorongo Road aforesaid, to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 10 and 9 of the said Block II, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road to the middle of the Awakino River; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of part of Section 1 of Block V, Awakino East Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the said northern boundary, and the generally northern and western boundaries of Section 5 of the said Block V, to and along the northern boundary of Section 3 of Block IV, Awakino North Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section 2 of Block II, Awakino North Survey District, being the point of commencement.

The aforesaid areas being more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 49, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered yellow.

Proclaiming Maori Land to Have Become Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section four hundred and fifty-four of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the Maori land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown under the authority of the said Act, do hereby proclaim that the said land has become Crown land.

Proclaiming Maori Land to Have Become Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section four hundred and fifty-four of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied that the purchase of the Maori land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, do hereby proclaim that the said land has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE
All that area in the Waitomo County, containing thirty-seven (37) acres, more or less, being Rangitoto-Tuhua Part 72B 3n Block, situated in Block III, Mapara Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered L. and S. 36/1320, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of October, 1948.

Crown Land in Auckland Land District Set Apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
In pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Borough of Cambridge, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 4'4 perches, more or less, and shown on S.O. plan 31962, being part Allotment 297, D.P. No. 12096, part Allotment 299, D.P. No. 12097, and part Lots 2 and 3 on D.P. No. 23544, being parts of Allotments 298 and 300, Town of Cambridge East, being the whole of the land in Proclamation 11305.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of October, 1948.

Appointing Trustee for the Management of the Slipway at Karitane, Waikouaiti River

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of October, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas by Order in Council dated the sixteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-fourth day of the same month at page 484, the management of the slipway at Karitane, Waikouaiti River, was vested in James Blair, Laurence Murray Fraser, and Oliff Edward Johnston, as trustees for the fishermen of the district:
And whereas the said Laurence Murray Fraser has left the district and it is desirable to appoint some person in his place to act with the trustees already appointed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Colin Edwards
to act with the said James Blair and Oliff Edward Johnston as trustees for the fishermen of the district for the management of the slipway at Karitane, Waikouaiti River.
