Altering the Boundaries of the Wairere Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Wairere Electric-power District so as to include the areas described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, the areas described in the First Schedule hereto being the existing Outer Area of the Waitomo Electric-power District, and the areas described in the Second Schedule hereto being the existing Outer Area of the Wairere Electric-power District.
FIRST SCHEDULE
(a) All that area in the Auckland Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VI, Marokopa Survey District, on the shores of the Tasman Sea, being the westernmost corner of Kinohaku West P No. 2A Block, and running easterly generally along the south-western boundaries of the said P No. 2A Block, Kinohaku West P No. 2B 4C Block, part Kinohaku West P No. 2B 4B Block, part of Section 9 of Block VI aforesaid, and Kinohaku West P No. 2B 2 Block, crossing the public road which intersects that block, to and along the western and south-western boundaries of Kinohaku West T No. 2F 2B Block, and the south-western boundary of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 15594, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Kinohaku West T No. 2E Block, along the generally western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 4 of the said Block VI, and the southern boundary of Section 5 of Block XIII, Kawhia South Survey District, to and along the western side of a public road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1 of the said Block XIII; thence along a right line across the said road, to and along the said southern boundary, and the southern boundary of Section 2 of Block XIV, Kawhia South Survey District, and a right line being that boundary produced across a public road to the middle of the Mangachae Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to and up the middle of the Tawarau River, to and up the middle of the Mangarere Stream to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 3 of Block IV, Maungamangero Survey District; thence southerly generally along a right line to and along the said western boundary, and along another right line, being that boundary produced to the middle of Te Kumi - Te Anga Main Highway; thence along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 20 of Block VIII, Maungamangero Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the said western boundary, and the western boundary of Section 23 of the said Block VIII, and a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of the Pungarehu Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 15A of the said Block VIII; thence along a right line to and along the said western boundary to the south-western corner of the said Section 15A; thence westerly generally along the northern boundaries of Lot 2 of Section 11 of Block VII, Maungamangero Survey District, and Sections 41, 13, 28, 27, and 26 of the said Block VII, to and along the generally north-eastern side of the Mahoenui-Kawhia Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 8 of Block VI, Maungamangero Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the said north-eastern boundary, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 19 of Block VI aforesaid, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mangaohae Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 2 of Section 9 of Block VI aforesaid; thence along a right line to and along the said north-western boundary, and the north-western and south-western boundaries of Section 10 of the said Block VI, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mangaotaki-Kiritehere Road; thence again southerly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 12 of Block IX, Maungamangero Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the said western boundary, and the western boundary of Section 2 of Block XIII, Maungamangero Survey District, the northern and western boundaries of Section 5 of Block II, Awakino North Survey District, the northern and western boundaries of Section 2 of Block I, Awakino East Survey District, the western and southern boundaries of Section 1 of Block II, Awakino North Survey District, the western boundary of Section 5 of Block V, Awakino East Survey District, and the western boundary of Section 4 of the last-mentioned Block V to the north-eastern corner of Section 1 of Block IX, Awakino North Survey District; thence westerly generally along the northern boundary of the said Section 1, crossing the intersecting public road, along the northern boundaries of Sections 3 and 1 of Block VI, Awakino North Survey District, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road to the middle of the Manganui River; thence down the middle of that river to a point due east of the north-eastern corner of Section 3 of Block V, Awakino North Survey District; thence along a right line across a river-bank reserve, an area of Crown land, and a public road, to and along the northern boundaries of the said Section 3 and Section 4 of the last-mentioned Block V to the shores of the Tasman Sea; thence northerly generally along the said shores to the westernmost corner of Kinohaku West P No. 2A Block, being the point of commencement.
(b) All that area in the Auckland Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Mokau River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Mangaawakino No. 1B Block, in Block III, Awakino Survey District, and running north-easterly generally along a right line to and along the said south-eastern boundary and the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Mangaawakino No. 1A 2 Block, the eastern boundary of Mangaawakino No. 1A 1 Block, the southern boundary of part of Mahoenui A No. 1 Block, and the southern boundary of Section 1 of Block X, Awakino East Survey District, to the westernmost corner of Mangaawakino No. 6 Block; thence easterly generally, along the south-western boundary of the said No. 6 Block, the north-western, south-western, and south-eastern boundaries of part of Mangaawakino No. 3 Block, and the south-eastern boundaries of Mangaawakino Nos. 2A and 2B Blocks, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mokau River; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of the said river to the point of commencement.
(c) All that area in the Taranaki Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the easternmost corner of Section 7 of Block VI, Aria Survey District, and running easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 6 and 5 of the said Block VI, the southern boundaries of Subdivision 2 of Section 17 of Block VI aforesaid, and Subdivision 3 of Section 16 of the said Block VI to the western boundary of Section 5 of Block VII, Aria Survey District; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of Section 5 of the said Block VII to its westernmost corner; thence westerly generally along the north-eastern side of a public road, the abutment of the north-western end of that road, the north-western boundary of Section 3 and the northern boundary of Section 6, both of Block X, Aria Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Section 7 aforementioned; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary aforesaid to the point of commencement.
(d) All that area in the Taranaki Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of the eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68E 1 Block with the southern boundary of Block II, Mapara Survey District, and running south-easterly generally along the generally southern boundary of the Waitomo Electric-power District, as described in the Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 43 of the 7th day of August, 1947, page 955, to the south-western corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 79H 2B 2A 2 Block, in Block XIV, Pahi Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundaries of part of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 78B 2E Block and Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 78B 2K Block, crossing the intersecting Taumarunui - Te Kuiti Road, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence southerly generally along the middle of the said railway to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 77B 1B 2C 2A Block; thence along a right line being the production of the said boundary in a south-easterly direction to the middle of the Ongarue River; thence down the middle of the said river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 2, Block VII, Tangitu Survey District; thence westerly generally along the said northern boundary, crossing the intersecting North Island Main Trunk Railway, to and along the eastern side of the Taumarunui - Te Kuiti Road, to a point in line with the northern boundary of another part of the said Section 2 of Block VII; thence along a right line across the aforesaid Taumarunui - Te Kuiti Road, to and along the said northern boundary, and along another right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across the Paraketu Road to its western side; thence along the western side of Paraketu Road, to and along the northern side of the public road forming the northern boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Tangitu Survey District, to and along the northern boundary of Section 2 of Block VI, Tangitu Survey District, to its northernmost corner; thence northerly generally along the generally eastern boundary of the Wairere Electric-power District, as described in the said Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette No. 43 aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
The aforesaid areas being more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 49, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered purple.
SECOND SCHEDULE
(a) All that area in the Auckland Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block X, Awakino East Survey District, being the northernmost corner of Mangaawakino No. 4 Block, and running north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Section 1 of the said Block X and Lots 1 and 2 of Section 2 of Block X aforesaid, and the south-eastern boundaries of parts of Mahoenui D Block and Mahoenui No. 2 No. 5B 1A Block, and a right line across a public road and Section 5 of Block VI, Awakino East Survey District, to and along another part of the south-eastern boundary of the aforementioned Mahoenui No. 2 No. 5B 1A Block, and the south-eastern boundaries of Mahoenui No. 2, Nos. 5B 1B, 4, 7, and 3B Blocks, and a right line being the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned block produced to the middle of the Mokau River; thence southerly generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Mangapapa A Block; thence westerly generally along a right line to and along the said north-western boundary, and the north-western boundaries of Mangapapa B No. 1 and part B No. 2 Blocks, to and along the generally north-eastern boundaries of Mangaawakino No. 4 Block to its northernmost corner, being the point of commencement.
(b) All that area in the Auckland Land District, County of Waitomo, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the south-eastern corner of Section 2 of Block II, Awakino North Survey District, and running northerly generally along the eastern boundary of the said Section 2, the generally eastern boundaries of Section 4 of the said Block II, and the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 10 of Block XI, Whareorino Survey District, to and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 9, 7, and 5 of the said Block XI, Sections 9 and 8 of Block VIII, Whareorino
