Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936


Manufacture of Footwear

Felt and Textiles of N.Z., Ltd., P.O. Box 848, Wellington, has
applied for a variation of its existing licence whereby it surrenders
that portion of its licence permitting the manufacture of footwear
by the Veldtschoen process at Halvic Shoe Co., Wellington, and
seeks permission to manufacture footwear by the Veldtschoen
process at Buchanan and Edwards, Lower Hutt, and at Myrl Shoe
Co., Auckland.

Gadabouts Ltd., 410 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland, has
applied for an extension of its existing licence so as to permit the
extension of factory premises at Newmarket.

Pharmacy Industry

E. T. Plunkett, 2 Fairholme Avenue, Epsom, Auckland, has
applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Panmure,
Auckland.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. C. N. Scott, Pongaroa, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises on
the Alfredton-Weber Road, Pongaroa.

R. A. G. McCutcheon, Main Road, South Norwood, has
applied for permission to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be
installed outside garage premises on the main Woodville-Napier
Road in Norwood. This pump is to be removed from applicant's
existing reselling point approximately 100 yards distant.

W. J. Hand, Glenary R.D., Waikaka, has applied for a licence
to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed at proposed
service-station premises three miles from Piano Flat.

J. G. T. London, Te Whaiti, has applied for a licence to resell
motor-spirit from one pump installed on garage premises at Te
Whaiti.

D. A. Fletcher, Pleasant Point, has applied for permission to
shift one pump at present installed inside garage premises at the
corner of Main and Opho Roads, Pleasant Point, to a site on the
kerbside.

P. A. Matusich, Waimauku, has applied for permission to shift
one pump at present installed inside garage premises at Waimauku
to a position outside.

Matatua Co-operative Society, Minginui, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from a portable pump to be installed
on store premises at Minginui.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 4th November, 1948, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.

Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment
Act, 1936


PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act,
1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said
Act and to be included in the Taihape Development Scheme.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Aotea Maori Land Court District, con-
taining 130 acres 3 roods, more or less, called or known as Ohingaiti
6A No. 2, and situate in Block XIII, Hautapu Survey District,
and Block XVI, Tiriraukawa Survey District.

Dated at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1948.

Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amend-
ment Act, 1936


PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act,
1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the
said Act, and to be included in the Maniapoto Development Scheme.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Waikato-Maniapoto Maori Land Court
District, containing 51 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, called
or known as Waiwhakaata A 1 (formerly known as Waiwhakaata
3E 2 Section 1), and situated in Block XI, Pirongia Survey District.

Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of October, 1948.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act, 1936


PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
a certain notice dated the 18th day of December, 1930, and pub-
lished in Gazette No. 90 of the 23rd day of December, 1930, at page
3908, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the
Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936), were
applied to, inter alia, the said land, and such land is hereby excluded
from the Whakatohea Development Scheme.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Waiariki Maori Land Court District,
containing 23 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, called or known
as Opape 1c No. 2, and situate in Blocks I and V, Waiawa Survey
District.

Dated at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1948.
