NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution dated the 29th day of September, 1948, it was resolved that the above-named company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. JULIUS WINFRIED SANDTMANN, Public Accountant, and JOHN McLENNAN, Public Accountant, both of Napier, be appointed liquidators of the company.

THE GUARDIAN TRUST AND EXECUTORS COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED

IN conformity with the above Act, I, RICHARD FROUDE WARD, General Manager of the Guardian Trust and Executors Company of New Zealand, Limited; do solemnly and sincerely declare:—

1. That the liability of the members is limited. The capital of the company is £100,000 fully paid, divided into 20,000 shares of £5 each.

The assets of the company in its corporate capacity on the 30th day of June last were £124,809.

The liabilities of the company in its corporate capacity on that day were £6.

The first annual licence was issued on the 10th day of March, 1911.

2. That, in the capacity of trustee and executors, the amount of moneys received on account of estates up to the 30th day of June last was £40,132,568.

The amount of moneys paid on account of estates up to that day was £39,888,419.

The amount of balances held in trust accounts at various banks on account of estates under administration on that day was £244,149.

3. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above company will be held at the registered office of the South Island Dairy Association of New Zealand (1948), Limited, 57 Vogel Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 9th day of November, 1948, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the assets disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be required from the liquidator.

BOROUGH OF WESTPORT

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,515, authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the £6,000 portion of the Town Hall Loan, 1938, of £11,500, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Westport, comprising the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We John McLean Robertson and Percival Morgan, Mayor and Town Clerk respectively, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and correct extract of the minutes of proceedings of the Westport Borough Council at a meeting of the Council held on the 8th day of September, 1948, and confirmed at the Council meeting on the 6th day of October, 1948.
