EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 817, folio 119 (Auckland Registry), for 1 rood 5·4 perches, being Lot 117, Deposited Plan 19643 (Town of Penrose Extension No. 30), being part of Hamlin's Grant, in the name of KENNETH AUBREY RATCLIFFE, of Auckland, Grocer, and SYLVIA GRACE RATCLIFFE, his wife, having been lodged with me together with an application for a new certificate of title in lieu thereof, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such certificate of title on 29th October, 1948.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Transit Housing Loan No. 2 1948 of £10,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of October 1948:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its Amendments the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the interest repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of Ten thousand pounds (£10,000) to be known as the Wellington City Transit Housing Loan No. 2 1948 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing additional transit housing units at the Miramar Transit Housing Centre the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of Fourteen eight hundredths of a penny (14/100d) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of Ten (10) years from the first day of December 1948 or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Abattoirs Loan 1948 of £5,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of October, 1948:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its Amendments and of all other Acts powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund and other charges on a special loan of Five thousand pounds (£5,000) to be known as the Wellington City Abattoirs Loan 1948 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of providing mess room accommodation and carrying out improvements to the Abattoirs from time to time the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of Eight eight-hundredths of a penny (8/100d) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the First day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of ten (10) years from the First day of December, 1948 or until the loan is fully paid off.
